This is a fantastic cave to visit, exemplary of what Slovakia has to offer. We particularly like the hike up to the cave, as it makes it possible to spend a nice half-day visiting. Be aware though--it is a hike through the woods, and uphill, so be prepared for that. Definitely dress in layers bc you'll have a workout up and then the cave is chilly. There are tables at the top to picnic and gorgeous views. Read moreGreat experience and really close to Banska Bystrica. The tour guide was very good and we were given printed pamphlets in English to follow along with the Slovak guided tour. Tickets are cheap if you don’t want to pay the extra cost to take photos. It’s a 40-50 minute hike up to the cave entrance where there is a small lodge with a café inside. The hike is very nice and has information panels about the local nature. Only thing is you have to plan your day around one of the four possible tour times. Highly recommend visiting. Not accessible if you have physical...
