Háj waterfalls — Attraction in Háj

Very beautiful waterfalls, one of the nicest in Slovakia. There are several waterfalls that are connected by the nice hiking trail that is easy to walk. Around you can find some picking areas where you can make a fire and do a barbecue so do not forget to bring something to cook over the fire. :-) Be very careful about waterfalls' peaks. It is very slippery there. Because of global warming and the decline of water in nature the waterfalls are pretty dry and modest in the summer. Therefore I highly suggest to visit them in the early spring when the snow melts in the mountains. Then it is stunning here. I suggest a visit to everyone. And take a bath in the waterfalls when you are here....

During the summer the waterfalls can dry up significantly so it might be better to visit during a wet spell or a different season. There are multiple waterfalls, all of them accessible from the road. With the possible exception of the first waterfall - nearest to the village - the waterfalls are linked by a footpath (there is at least one bridge over the creek so don't worry about getting stuck on one side). Beautifull little hidden gemstone. We really love that place or say places as there are a few waterfalls. This last time we visited just the first two as our little 1.5 years old prince's was with us. It's a shame the rails leading to the first waterfall was in terrible condition. The second half of it just lied on the floor what made it Impossible for us to climb down and see the first waterfall at all 😔 hopefully next time it will...
