Plte Orava — Attraction in Horná Lehota

Me and my family went up to Orava castle a few hours prior to going on the ride. We got picked up close to where we were staying straight to the start of where our raft would leave from. Straight from the start of the ride everyone was smiling and laughing because our guide had THE BEST commentary I had ever heard. No cheesy jokes or anything but pure comedy. Seriously, this guy should be working as a stand up comedian instead. I REALLY enjoyed the tour and surprisingly retained a lot of information because I was genuinely having a good time. By the end of the raft, even the ‘passengers’ were contributing to the jokes and bonding us together as friends. Not to mention the view of Orava castle was beautiful but it was made even better by the beautiful weather. In summary I would really recommend going on this experience because you will be laughing and enjoying everything the whole time. Even though it’s a bit more on the expensive side, I think it was definitely worth it and a lot better than the other boring guides that seem to hate their jobs. I loved it so much and would probably do it...

Uzasna plavba plťami na Orave , objednali sme s termin telefonicky den dopredu. Velmi ochotne nam podla nasich preferencii dali cas . Ked sme dosli na parkovisko kde sa startovalo privital nas mila mlada slecna, ziadne parkovne sa neplatilo, hned nam povedala ze na dany cas maju nahlaseny zajazd ale pridaju nas k jednej z plti. Chalan pltnik vtipne komentoval celu plavbu a na zaver ked sme dosli na konecnu stanicu ma aj bezodplatne vyviezli do startovacej stanice kde som mal odparkovane auto ktorym som uz potom zasiel za rodinou ktora cakala v cielovej stanici. Musim poukazat na rozdiel oproti pltiam na Dunajci ktoreho sme sa chceli zucastnit 3 dni predtym.... Plavba na Dunajci: prichod na parkovisko hned vyberali parkovne, moznost obejdnat sa dopredu neexistovala este nam povedali ze termin maju o tri hodiny a uprednostnuju autobusove zajazdy takze ako jednotlivci musime cakat vsak co chceme ved 3hodiny je normalne ze bezne cakaju ludia aj 5 hodin na co som reagoval ze nemyslim si ze po prichode cakat tri hodiny je normalne. Za dalsie hned sa na nas vrhali z kazdej strany baby ktore nam ponukali odvoz do startovacej stanice lebo plavba pltou prevoz spet neobsahuje (na orave ma previezli autom pltnici zadarmo). Plavbu na Dnajci sme nakoniec ani neabsolvovali a odchadzali sme sklamany. Celkovo pristup ludi na Orave bol ovela milsi , nepripadal som si ako kusovka. Bolo vidiet ze chalani to robia radi. Za mna maju urcite 5 hviezdiciek. PS: nasledne sme si pozreli Oravsky hrad ktory stal...

We had an absolutely amazing experience on these traditional rafts! Marko was English spoken and explained the history of the local rafting and the particularities of the surrounding landscape really well. We were picked up by a van from in front of the Orava Castle ticket office, driven to the starting point and then sailed back to nearby Orava Castle. Be sure to book your sail couple of hours ahead the desired time with the girls wearing red hats by the Castle ticket office....
