You trek alongside beautifull polish mountains to discover a post-apocaliptic modern building in the very style of horizon-zero dawn ruined scyscrappers. But wait. As you are approaching closer and closer, awed by this terryfying view, you discover that The Building is not really a building. And it is not a herald of the apocalipse either.
You do not really know what it is, but you know for sure that you must enter it. As you try to do it, Sphinx in the form of a man appears, demanding you to pay a staggering amount of money, not saying anything what happens if you don't pay. But you a wise man. You know you would die, if not outside, inside for sure.
Deciding not to become a zombie, with your pocket completely empty (unless you are a western tourist that also is a programmer in Deep Mind), you discover with no doubt, that what you thought will make you happy is a misery. Not incredible amounts of money, nor a crowd of beutifull woman fainting on your glance will allow you to experiance katharsis. This very state of soul, only achievable for those who are capable of sacrificing all they have, can be found on this inconpicously small, polish peak, on the path built by the gods themselfs, Zeus and Hades, life and death.
As you are up there, you want to take off your clothes, you want to strip yourself and become completely vurnelable in the face of unbounded nature. But there are people, other people, other people there. You curse the gods for they made you a social creature. You know with certainty that if you even were allowed to talk to them about your need they would join you in this completely freeing experiance. But you choose not to talk. You are a social creature. This inner fight will stay with you for the rest of your life. Your wantings vs your canings. The place, where you do not know which choice is a virtue and which one is a sin. The battle of the body and the spirit. Primordial Chaos.
Describing the mistical experiance is a waste of time, so is the reading of this comment. Be realistic. You will not go for a walk in the tree crowns, neither will I succeed to tell you the story of my soul, the meeting with gods, the adventure of being lost in the forest and being found in the clouds. So why are we even here? Maybe we are looking for something, maybe we are lost by someone, or maybe, just maybe it is all an unfortunate accident that we read or write this message while we should do our worthless corporate jobs.
Whatever is True, whatever the Truth is, whatever is real, remember. There is this place outside of your room, where all substancess of the Nature are separated. You choose if you want to see it or stay safe in your home. If you have loved ones, think twice before you make a decision. The path of misticism is for those who do...
Read moreENG/CZ It is one of the biggest tourist attractions in High Tatras. So expect many people. We went there late afternoon and I think it could be better (less people) then in the morning. We had small child so we used the cable car up and also down (no queues). We bought a family ticket for cablecar and walkway together and it is much more favourable then buy the tickets individually. You can also walk up the hill it takes approx. 1,5 hour. There are beautiful views from the walkway and from the tower. Up on the tower you can have a walk over the rope net - you have 32meters of nothing under you so it is little bit thrilling. You can also slide down the tower - it is quite rapid (for me much worse then some crazy rollercoaster :-)) unfortunately the slide is not included in the entrance fee, so you will pay 2€/person extra for it. For now some new building are growing on the top of the hill but it seems it will be very nice when finish. you can park your car almost everywhere under the cable car station or little bit above it when walk :-) and it is for 3€. Tickets for walkway can be bought down by the cable car station and also up on the hill by the entrance. The only surprising thing is no possibility to buy only oneway ticket for the cable car. It is possible to buy only return.
Read moreTucked in the Bachledova Valley in Slovakia and about an hour's drive from Zakopane city, the Treetop Walk Bachledka is an engineering marvel and a lovely winter attraction.
I highly recommend walking the wooden structure. The rugged and intricate pathway leading to the treetop is adorned with striking visuals, making an ideal escape for an elevated winter experience.
The Treetop Walk overlooks a flawless ski slope on the Tatra and Pieniny National Parks border in Zdziar town of Slovakia, with the tower top rising 32m above the ground. Designed to endure the harshest weather, this engineering marvel in the High Tatry offers a unique opportunity to walk in the clouds. Quite literally. The top huddles with the bone-chilling winds transcending the snow-coated Tatry peaks. Therefore, the chill factor could be about -15 to -20 degrees on a sunny day.
The Treetop trail stretches to 1234m in length. A gondola ride is available from the parking to the Treetop ticket counter. For hiking enthusiasts, a super steep 1.5 km trail from the parking is open year-round; unless there's an avalanche. I walked it; take my word - it is not the easiest.
There's an 88 m2 net spread at the top, ready to embrace the extra-adrenaline seekers. If you can brave the overpowering wind gusts, stand and look into the 32-meter depth. There's also a 67-meter slide, which remained suspended during our visit. I guess they...
