Sivec — Attraction in Malá Lodina

One of the moderately difficult hike for a beginner within the Kosice region. It’s totally worth all the effort to reach the top of the mountain for a spectacular view. This place is not as challenging yet a beautiful target to go to. We had no problem parking at the bottom of the hill and enjoyed all kinds of terrain, which is not particularly challenging. At least until you get to the top. You have to go across tight rocks to get up top which really is spectacular to see. This is the place which can be quite dangerous...

Sivec je výraznou dominatou nad vodnou nádržou Ružín a je najkrajším vrchom Čiernej hory. Z vrcholu je nádherný výhľad na Volovské vrchy, vodnú nádrž Ružín, Branisko, Čergov, Slanské vrchy a za priaznivého počasia aj na Vysoké Tatry. Vrch Sivec je súčasťou prírodnej rezervácie s 5 tym stupňom ochrany a neumožňuje vybočovať z turistických značkovaných chodníkov. Na skalom brale je umiestnená plechová skrinka, v ktorej sa nachádza vrcholová kniha. Na Šivec vedie viacero turistických chodníkov, my sme sa vybrali od parkoviska pod Šivcom, je to po žltej turistickej trase cez Sivecké lúky až do sedla Priehyba pod Sivcom. Cesta cez les bola mierne náročná, keďže tam bolo veľa padnutých stromov. Odtiaľ sme pokračovali až na vrchol Sivca (asi tak 20 minút). Celkový výstup na vrch po tejto kombinovanej trase nám trval približne 1:30 h. Cestou späť sme využili červenú turistickú odbočku na Drienkovú skalu, odkiaľ bol tiež...
