My recent visit to Zoo Eco Park in Piešťany, Slovakia, was an incredible experience that exceeded all my expectations. The park's commitment to providing healthy habitats for the animals, its unique interactive opportunities for children, and its status as one of the largest day attractions in Piešťany, complete with a picturesque lake and charming thatched hotel, make it deserving of a 5-star rating.

Nechala som sa rodinou presvedčiť na výlet do piešťanskej kontaktnej zoo. Hneď pri vstupe sme boli konfrontovaní s klasickou ukážkou slovenskej sedláckej mentality - pri vstupe aj výstupe si musíte priložiť na turnikete QR kód z pásky, ktorú dostanete po zaplatení vstupného. Samozrejme, pre ľudí malomeštiackych spôsobov je ťažké pochopiť, že sa nedá vychádzať aj vchádzať naraz, cez úzky priechod turniketu (prichádzajúci nenechajú najprv ľudí vyjsť z parku). Frustrovaná slečna na pokladni očividne konfrontovaná s danou situáciou už po niekoľký raz za deň, sa snažila zvýšeným tónom hlasu návštevníkov okrikovať od okienka - bez úspechu. Cena vstupného - 12€ pre ľudí od 3 rokov - celkom prepal na to, že presne toľko si zaplatíte za vstup do pražskej Zoo, ktorá je na rozdiel od miestnej piešťanskej, parkom svetového významu. Čo sa týka samotných zvierat, výbehy sú vybavené žalostne, niektoré zvieratá nemali v 30° horúčavach možnosť sa poriadne schovať pred slnečnými lúčmi - ako príklad uvediem výbeh papagájov Ary - klietka s jednou kamennou stenou, kde sa úbohé vtáky snažili schovať pred jasnou smrťou na augustovom slnku. (Pokiaľ viem Ary sú pôvodom z tropických lesov amerického kontinentu, takže nejaké stromy v ich ubikácii, by možno boli na mieste.) Zvieratá, ktoré sú určené na "kontaktnú" časť, musia znášať celodenné prenasledovanie malými deťmi, naťahovanie a prekrmovanie. Ako čerešnička na torte - viaceré kontaktné výbehy su spoplatnené ďalším poplatkom (asi 5€) za poskytnutie krmiva pre zvieratá. Ďalej sa v areáli nachádzajú rôzne automaty, autíčka a vláčiky, ako ideálny nástroj na dodatočné vylákanie peňazí od návštevníkov. Na ceny občerstvenia sme sa radšej pozrieť nešli, keďže naše znechutenie narastalo s pribúdajúcimi minútami strávenými v parku.

Celkový dojem - možno toto miesto ocení niekto s malými deťmi, ktoré vyžadujú jednoduchú zábavu. Vzhľadom na ceny vstupného a ďalších atrakcií, by mohli mať zvieratá lepšie...

You won't find a tiger or apes here but overall the whole concept is very nice but what is really outstanding is the amenities for kids. Once your kids have seen all animals they can be entertained in the kids section. I really liked the castle with the roller coaster. I can't give 5 stars as they ran out of supplies and 2hrs prior to closure they didn't have any hotdogs or burgers. Just French fries. Overall very pleasant experience much better than zoo...
