TATRA POLISH MOUNTAIN 😍 Tatra, the highest mountain range in polish territory, including highest massif in Carpathian chain. It counts as much as 60 km in lenght and from 15 to 20 km width. The whole area covers around 800 km². Because of its landform, Tatra mountains are divided into Bielskie Tatras (Hawrań 2152 m above sea level), High Tatras (Gerlach 2655 m above sea level.) and West Tatras (Bystra 2248 above sea level). Located between four geo-historical lands: Liptow, Orawa, Podhale and Spisz, while through Tatra, Orawa and Spisz goes polish-slovak border. Poland owns 175 km² of Tatra surface. Its protected by two national parks (Tatrzański Park Narodowy, TPN in Poland and Tatranský národný park, TANAP in Slovakia). Tatra mountains are exceptional for many reasons: natural, historical, cultural. They have much peculiar exploration history and unchanging popularity both among tourists and explorers. Trails layout from Tatra National Park counts 275 km.

You can practice both walking, climbing, skiing (downhill, cross-country, skitour) as well as restricted mountain biking. Guests can make use of mountain shelters of PTTK (on Chochołowska Clearing, Ornak Hall, Kondratowa Hall, Gąsienicowa Hall, Roztoka, Valley of Five Ponds and on Morskie Oko). Thanks to the cultural sheep pasturage program, tourists can taste original oscypkis and drink zéntyca (sheep milk whey). They can also hear genuine podhale highlander dialect and see them in their...

Tatras are two sided. One side is the nature, and it's wonderful. The biodiversity, the amount of things you can see in such relatively small place is incredible. The other side are the services and this is ... OMG. Prices like in Switzerland (restaurants, hotels, coffee-shops, ski-lifts) and the quality of service is really below the standard. People managing the infrastructures don't really understand how tourism works yet. So you'll go to Tatras once and, sadly,...

✨ Hiking in Slovakia ✨ Did you know there’s an amazing mountain range in northern Slovakia?? It’s called the high tatras and it totally needs to be on your bucketlist. Here’s what you need to know: 👉 the high tatras are a great destination for both skiing and hiking depending on what time of year you visit 👉 there’s tons of beautiful trails for hiking in the area but if you don’t want to hike, there is a gondola that can take you to a really high peak - be sure to book it in advance! 👉 nearby you can also enjoy “Slovak Paradise,” a national park known for their ladder hikes featured in the first clip of this video 👉 we recommend renting a car and staying in one of the nearby villages. 👉 many of the hikes feature huts so can get a hot meal (or glühwein 👀) along the way . . . . #hikingadventures #hikegirl #girlshiking #slovakia #slovakia🇸🇰 #hightatras #thisislovakia #visitslovakia #hiker #easterneurope #hikinglife #hikingtrails #hikemore
