Ferata Mučevo — Attraction in Črna na Koroškem

This is an interesting, seemingly short but difficult via ferrata. The footpath starts at the sign next to the road. It enters the gorge of a stream and quickly divides in the direction of an easier ferrata route to the right and the more difficult one to the left. The easy route climbs the exposed southern ridge of the canyon. It is 250 meters long and graded as B/C level. The difficult route (mostly D level, 350 m long) climbs along the gorge walls - it's lower parts can be very wet and thus dangerous to attempt climbing. It starts as an E segment which can be bypassed just further "upstream". After some climbing the route divides to the right and left to the cable bridges with an attractive E segment between them, just to meet again after the second bridge. Further ascent is demanding, up the canyon wall, ending at a small grassy widening. The last variation is a D segment to the left and an E segment with slightly overhanging rock to the right. They both lead to a final part with a long cable bridge over the crevass. The easy route also connects here. The finish of this ferrata is nearby, on a nice narrow ridge with trees that make shade for rest. The footpath down is steep, aided with a rope as it can be slippery. Fatta il 30/4/2024. Variante B (con tratti C) è molto piacevole, non troppo impegnativa. Si snoda su un gruppo di rocce. C'è un po' di esposizione ma questa variante può andare per principianti e bambini se sono accompagnati da qualcuno con l'esperienza.
