Soriška planina AlpVenture — Attraction in Železniki

The Cross Country tracks are absolutely horrible, utterly neglected. The day I was there it felt like they had not been properly groomed for days, and if they were it was an awfully poor job. The classic skiing grooms were horrible and at some points inexistent. The tracks were full of ice patches, and dangerous to ski on. On a downhill section I hit an ice patch, lost balance, fell and dislocated my shoulder. Went to the nursery and it was empty - there was nobody there to even give me a bag of ice. Can you imagine if your kid has an accident?

I am never coming back, and if you are a nordic skier stay WELL AWAY from this place if you care about...

Great place! Don't be misleded with the name "pension". Rooms are clean with new furniture. Good kitchen equipment, excellent bathroom. Very comfortable beds. A lot of space for the wardrobe, nice terrace. Nature is beautiful, place is quiet (good sleep). Hiking trails. We were there in summer. Lake Bohinj is only 25 min by car, so in the summer it is easy to combine sweeming too. Staff is very kind and helpfull. Breakfast very good. Visit time 2 and 3. January very nice small Ski Center with good snow conditions The street is small and very curved. In foggy and icy weather an adventure especially when the ski bus comes your way. Cheap prizes in relation to other ski centers. For families with children and rookies perfekt conditions. There is a training ground with a small lift near the ground station and a ski school.
