A super interesting and unique experience. Repnice are some some sort of cellars dug out of sandstone used for storing of wine or other agricultural produce. In the past they used it more for food, but nowadays they use it for wine and tourism. The owner at Thai repnice was extremely nice. She took us around explaining all abou the cellars and the wine region, as well as tasking the wine they produce. The wine is pretty good and you end up in their shop where you can buy some wine for home. I loved the experience

We had a visit from business partners from England. We decided to take them to Repnica Najger in Bizeljsko with tasting of 6 wines with bread, cheese and mixed sliced meat. Mrs. Najger made an excellent presentation of Repnica in English, and beautifully described all the wines we tasted. The guests from England were thrilled. Thank you Mrs. Najger for a wonderful experience.

Najboljša točka pohajkovanja po Posavju. Šli na ogled delnice, ker nam to ni znano, dobili pa veliko več. Čakali smo za vstop, a se je splačalo. Repnica je v steno skopana jama, kjer so shranjevali ozimnico. Le ta je bila užitna celo leto. A pot iz nje se sedaj nadaljuje v vinsko klet. Nismo ravno prišli zaradi vina, a kako so jo naredili.....na roke so morali kopat, ker prah kremenčevega peska uniči vse stroje. Potem izveš, da so geologi dokazali, da je bil ti dno Panonskega morja vsaj 2km globoko, da je material tako močno zbit skupaj. No, tudi vino smo poizkusili in kupili. V enem kotu ob luči smo videli zeleno...rastje in začeli ugibati. Ko pa ti povedo, da je to micelij zelenih alg starih milijardo let, ki ga sedaj proučujejo na univerzi...,. Vredno ogleda! Trenutno so celo predlagani za UNESCO.

Repnice to se mora videti. Odlicno vino. Notranjost manjše repnice v Brezju pri Bojsnem Repnica je jama, skopana v kremenčev pesek, ki služi kot kmetijski objekt za shrambo pridelkov. Ime je dobila po repi, ki je bila eden izmed glavnih kmetijskih pridelkov. Repnice so značilne za območje Bizeljskega gričevja, natančneje vasi krajevnih skupnosti Bizeljsko, Pišece in Globoko v Občini Brežice. Območje, primerno za izkop, je veliko vsega kakih 8 kvadratnih kilometrov.[1] Tu se namreč nahajajo peščene naplavine, ki so ostanek nekdanjega Panonskega morja izpred več milijonov let. Kmetje so tako pri kopanju repnic pogosto naleteli tudi na fosilizirane školjke. Nekdaj je obstajalo kakih 200 repnic, danes pa jih je še kakih 100. Repnice imajo stalno temperaturo približno 8 °C in visoko vlago med 80 in 95 %.[1] Kot take so primerne za shrambo poljščin, kot so repa, krompir, korenje, in tudi sadja – predvsem jabolk. Ljudje pripovedujejo, da so jabolka, shranjena v repnicah, ohranila svežino in čvrstost vse do naslednje sezone. Danes se uporabljajo tudi za shranjevanje vina, vendar le-tega hranijo v steklenicah ali nerjavečih cisternah, saj leseni sodi zaradi velike vlage v prostoru niso primerni za...
