Waterfall Slap Skalca — Attraction in Hoče-Slivnica

A beautiful waterfall, sometimes also called Skalce, just a 5 minute walk off the main road on Pohorje. Parking may be a problem, since there is no real parking space but just a room for 2-3 cars on the side of the road. You can park at mountain hut Mariborska Koča and walk down here, which is no problem when you are used to trekking, but for "lazy" among us the steep climb back to Mariborska koča might cause a few exclamations. But then again a beer or a launch waiting for you up there might be a good consolation. After all, it's no more than 150 meters of height difference. A waterfall can be visited all year long. It's very beautiful when frozen in winter, but put on good winter trekking shoes, or when the force of the water is full in spring. In summer the water level might be low, of course then it is not so interesting. The Fram creek has it's source ner the Areh Ski Resort and is about 25 kilometers long, it flows down Pohorje, near Fram adnd Rače and them through Drava Plains and joins into Polskava creek. There are no facilities near the fall, but this is Pohorje, so there are a lot of trails to mountain huts and other interesting destinations nearby. Google map doesn't know the entrance. From Maribor it is needed to drive a little bit further until you see the sign to the waterfall. The main path is closed now - Feb 2025. But there is another path. From the closed bridge it is required to return about 30 meters and go towards the slop. There is another ladder there. In the winter there is no much water in the waterfall but still the place is very nice...
