Dvorac Prem nalazi se na grebenu naselja Prem iznad rijeke Reke u blizini Ilirske Bistrice. Navodno je sagrađena na mjestu nekadašnje rimske utvrde ( Castra Prima ), a prvi put se neizravno spominje u pisanim izvorima 1213. godine. Izgrađen je na prometno važnom području koje je povezivalo dolinu Pivke i Rijeke s unutrašnjošću Istre, zbog čega su ga lokalne vlasti nastojale kontrolirati. Za individualne goste dvorac je otvoren od proljeća do jeseni prema utvrđenom rasporedu koji se nalazi u rubrici Raspored i cjenik.
