Been here with the family ( twins, 7 years old). It is a nice drive and close by Terme Catez. The last part of the way is a small road so beware of any traffic ahead. You can park near the cave.
You can do tours every 2 hours (10, 12, 14, 16). Costs are low, tour guide speaks English and Slovenian, and the guide takes time to answer your questions. You have to watch your head, some passages are 1.5 meters only. If you have trouble using stairs this is not for you. It is 12 degrees C. all year so you might want to bring a longsleeve. Cave itself and the bats (if lucky) are beautiful. A must see when you're clase by. Tour is about 40 minutes.

The cave is surprisingly long, we spent almost an hour inside. There are lots of animals in the cave, from spiders to bats, since there is quite big bat population in and around the cave system.
