Parking is easy if it’s not crowded, but it wasn’t for us in mid-August. There are many parking spaces next to the Triangel Hotel. From the parking you follow an asphalt cycle path for a few hundred metres, then turn left onto a forest trail. The walk is pleasant and leads quickly to the first waterfall, the Lower Martuljek waterfall in about 20 minutes. Don’t stop there: cross the small bridge, turn right, and follow the path along the cliff through the gorge. The views are amazing and reminded me a little of parts of Zion National Park. The trail follows the Martuljek river and becomes a bit steeper near the end, which is the section that leads to the second bridge overlooking the large waterfall (not a climb up to the second waterfall). . It is totally doable with a dog, but for safety keep your dog on a leash on the final section. If you take your time and enjoy the views, the whole trip can be done in under two hours. A very...

So many times I visited Perichnik waterfall as well as Kranjska Gora and didn’t know about this stunning place. So far it was the best canyon I’ve ever visited. 200 meters of rocks above you with bluish river in the bottom surrounded with hundreds of cairns (Do not forget to build one by yourself).

But please be aware of rocks that are falling from above. I’ve seen at least one major rockfall. Luckily, all rocks were captured by a rockfall net.

Ah and there is a problem with parking because you have to either leave your car near the asphalt road (but there is no place really) or leave it in the bushes (but again there is place for a few...

Beautiful hike! We didn’t have much time but wanted to see some nature, and this was the perfect option. It was pouring rain when we went (the day after massive historic floods in Slovenia), so it was quite a wet walk. Definitely recommend waterproof jacket and shoes if you go in the rain. Parking is free near the Triangel Boutique hotel and there are two very clean portable toilets there as well.
