We didn’t need to pay parking because the cottage was closed and there is no fee to walk up to the falls.

It was only a 10 minutes walk up the falls, great in the morning when the sun is shining through the falls creating a rainbow effect. You can walk around the back of the falls to get a different view but be prepared to get a bit wet!

The walk to the second waterfall isn’t too difficult, the path is no longer maintained but originally they built stone stairways and handrails so it’s quite manageable at this time of year (April)

The view from the second waterfalls is excellent, if you cross the river (not too difficult) you can have a view down the valley to the snow capped mountains. Quite thrilling to stand near the edge by the lone tree, but pretty dangerous, attempt at your own risk!

You could easily spend an hour here if you want to take the time to enjoy your surroundings but if in a rush you can go up to the main falls and back to the car park in 20mins. Highly recommend!
