Vina Založnik — Attraction in Slovenske Konjice

After a beautiful walk in the Rogla skying area, we decided to visit Vina Založnik for a wine tasting. We didn't announce our visit, but owner Miha stopped some maintenance work he was doing by giving my partner and I a personal tasting! Not only did Miha take all the time to tell us everything about the wines and the background of the Založnik heritage, he was evidently intelligent, driven and passionate.

Vina Založnik most surely have some of the best wines in the area, as we loved them! Mostly dry and elegant, with honest and clear tastes. Not semi-sweet and bland, like most unknowledgeable bars in Slovenia are serving for wine.

We purchased some boxes and were very surprised with the fair prices! Very good value for money!...

This little family run winery was a great find on our trip in beautiful Slovenia! Awesome wines! (best we found here), even better value and lovely scenery!

We were warmly invited and received more than we could drink for our tasting wines,thanks! (damn driving..). All in all. Can't miss stop when looking for good...
