Cerkev svetega Valentina — Attraction in Upravna Enota Domžale

Seen this church a countless number of time while driving on highway back from Ljubljana to Maribor. Always saying to myself "gotta go there once", because it stands out so prominently on the top of the hill above the highway. And i did. And there are absolutely no regrets. It's a pristine hill top with a church and an inn which is more or less like a mountain hut, with adequate but basic offering. The views around you are beautiful, though on north and west they go to the far distances, but not in other directions. This are the main and only reasons to come here - to relax and to enjoy the views. Or for some people to go to church, whenever ... "it works". The name of the mountain is Limbarska Gora and the church is at about 750 meters above the sea level, the topmost point of the mountain is west of the church, marked with a plague. You can drive on the top in a normal car, as did we, but there are also marked trails from Moravče, Trojane, Gradiško Jezero, Blagovice etc. The church was built in baroque style around 1735.
