Županova jama (Taborska jama) — Attraction in Upravna Enota Grosuplje

Beautiful cave and great guide!

I wasn't in Postojna, so I can't compare, but Županova gave me plenty of stalactites and a stalagmites. The atmosphere is more personal and less touristy than the famous caves, and the price is cheaper (€12 per adult).

The tour is still not fully adapted to international tourists (perhaps on purpose), but the guide Alexander was kind enough to translate everything for me personally - special thanks!

Beautiful cave! Well worth a visit. We went in the winter so we used headlamps as they turn off the main lighting to not disturb the hibernating bats. It was a fun and interesting excursion. The guide was nice and professional, she had a lot of knowledge and interesting facts that she presented very well. Županova Jama is a beautiful cave near Grosuplje. The guided tour was informative and not too long – perfect for families or casual travelers. Summer time they have it every day on 11:00 and 17:00 ( on weekends they have additionally on 15:00) The cave has impressive stalactites, underground halls, and a peaceful, cool atmosphere.
