Plaža Debeli rtič — Attraction in Upravna enota Koper / Unità amministrativa Capodistria

During our visit (late August) there were a lot of seaweed pieces floating on the surface, and thick mats of it on the beach itself. It was almost impossible to come out of the water clean, and it actually put me off going for a full swim. Kids splashed about ok but I just found it quite yucky and would not recommend this beach. The views are ok but not spectacular. An industrial port is visible to one side. At high tide there’s no sand - just 2-3 metres of small pebbles with dry seaweed. Also, the parking at the top of the road is incomprehensible. Car park barrier did not open. I never understood if the car park was only for guests of the hotel and children’s resort. In the end just parked on the side of the road as didn’t want to come all this way...

Quiet beach with a concrete area for sunbathing and easy access to the sea. Clean, warm water and beautiful city views. Working showers and clean public toilets nearby. Paid parking (€1/h). Great spot if you prefer a peaceful place...

Fantastyczna cicha plaża na uboczu. Nie łatwo na nią trafić. Najlepiej zapytać o drogę mieszkańców okolicy. Woda w połowie lipca dość ciepła, przejrzysta. Przydadza się buty do wody choć i bez nich da się chodzić po kamieniach (większość otoczków). Do południa sama plaża/brzeg w cieniu (promienie slońce zaczynają się w wodzie) dopiero późnym popołudniem zagląda na nią...
