If you are interested in space, astronomy, or maybe you want to see our world and the vastness above us, you have entered through the right door. In the Noordung center, both the history and the present of astronomy and space are presented to you in a well-rounded way. Along the route of the exhibition, with the help of interactive, virtual aids, you can easily find yourself among the stars, planets, listen to the sounds of the universe and much more. Virtual entry (with extra charge) into space and the space station, where you are virtually placed in weightlessness, is a very special experience that will not leave you indifferent. There is also a helicopter flight over Slovenia. If you have problems with vertigo, altitude sickness or an upset stomach, think about it. I took the risk myself, because the nausea disappears, the memory will remain forever :). The staff is friendly, ready to help. The price of the basic tour is not high, but the additional payments (if you decide on all of them) add up to a slightly high number in the end. Suitable for all generations. They also offer a guided tour. There is a free parking lot in front of the building. Definitely a time well spent that will open up new horizons for you. I...
Read moreVery nice.
There's a lot to read about sky observation and sky exploration throughout history all the way up James Webb, many artifacts, models and replicas of the equipment used in space, and pretty imagery of the planets and galaxies. I didn't care much for the videos other than to find out how they use the toilet on ISS. I wouldn't specifically recommend taking a guide, but take your time enjoying it. We spent three hours in there.
The VR plane seems more for the children, so we skipped it. The Barany chair was a fun little test, but can be easily cheated by listening the sound of the engine. The VR ISS was amazing. Despite having computer game graphics you really get a feeling of being their. Try spinning yourself in the narrow corridors of the ISS and you'll easily get light-headed. Going outside of the ISS is a must as it really puts you in perspective, when you see the size of the station itself as well as the big yet small distance from the Earth (you're above Slovenia, and see the whole of Italy but almost no Spain for example).
Definitely worth a visit.

Voden ogled je bil vrhunski – strokovno vodstvo nas je popeljalo skozi zgodovino vesoljskih tehnologij in nas seznanilo z naprednimi raziskavami in dosežki v vesolju.
Exceptional experience for the whole family! A visit to the Noordung Centre of Space Technologies in Vitanje was truly an unforgettable experience for our entire family! The guided tour was excellent – our knowledgeable guide took us through the history of space technologies, introducing us to advanced research and achievements in space. The focus on how space exploration has been ongoing for so long, and continues to this day, was astonishing. We learned, saw, heard, and experienced so much. The VR experience of visiting the International Space Station (ISS) was also unforgettable, as we felt the sensation of weightlessness and life in space. The flight simulator was equally fun, allowing us to fly over a piece of our homeland independently. In addition to the hour-long guided tour, we had plenty of time to explore various interactive exhibits, which were incredibly educational and fascinating for all ages. This was truly a unique experience that inspired us and opened our eyes to the marvelous world of space technology. The special edition of Herman Potočnik Noordung's book, The Problem of Space Travel, released upon Slovenia's full membership in the European Space Agency, offers a wonderful insight into humanity's exploration of space. We ordered it from their online shop and it will soon arrive at our address, as in our excitement, we forgot to buy it in person when we left. Overall, the experience was a perfect 100/100! We highly recommend visiting...
