Just enough snow to sled! Yesterday it was powdery and fluffy and today was icy. This was a great play stop on our drive south from Oregon. The sledding path get fairly steep at the top, most people were starting halfway down, and there was another path going towards the right side. Only 10 min off the freeway and had a toilet. We had so much fun we decided to spend the night at the Inn at Mt Shasta. We would def come back.

Visited 12/31/2021. One of the best free sledding areas I have seen. Bring your own sled. No rentals there. Have only one restroom on site...expect the worst going in). Parking is limited. Parking lot was covered with snow. Try to park at the start of the lot if you don't have 4wd or at least good tires. Sedan car may refused to go all the way and you need to bring it back in reverse.

Walk up. Sled down. Have fun. Good sized parking lot with a bathroom at the bottom. Trees have been cleared for a good sized run.

It's open and there aren't too many people. There are no sticks and rocks on the hill making it very smooth to ride on.

Cool free sledding hill. Not a ton of parking but it wasn’t very crowded when we went. One pretty good size hill

Family fun for free! Be cautious on SR89, can be slick where trees shade the road.
