Lovely nature reserve to the north of Vryheid. Within walking distance of the city centre. 40R per adult and 20R per school child. It’s amazing how well the place is maintained considering that the entrance fee is paid on a trust basis and you simply have to drop it in a trust box. You can easily do a 3 to 4 hours very diverse hike and enjoy the beautiful 360 degree view from the top, grasslands and indigenous forest, grasslands, little creeks and brooks. Nice picnic area with ablutions at the dam.

Quiet, beautiful views, great hike; we saw lots of zebra, springbok and elan. Totally worth the visit!

No security ,no one to guide u.. we were basically walking in the bush. Nothing to see there
