Deetlefs Wine Estate — Attraction in Breede Valley Local Municipality

I feel it is only fair to present you with a feedback and review based on this weekends tasting we experienced.

If this is the standard that you are setting for you wine tastings, I think the other wine farms in the area better pull up their socks! If there was a rating higher than 10/10, you would have gotten it with no doubt.

Genuinely one of the BEST wines we have ever tasted, I can't even tell you its in my top 5. Because it made the top of the list with such, I think I need to reavulate everything.

Not only is your wine amongst the best we have ever tasted, but the level at which the tasting was presented absolutely blew me away.

Willem-Karel deetlefs, that presented our tasting was an absolute gentleman of a host and made us feel so welcome. He pays attention to detail, and generally values every single customer that comes he's way. He demonstrated the complexity of the wine as well as the comfortability that comes with it, and it doesn't matter of the occasion.

We are definitely coming back, and we will definitely be purchasing...

This was probably the best wine tasting experience I have had. The farm and owner (Kobus) have the philosophy that wine is not about the awards, points or being told it is one of the best wines, but rather the "personal experience" you have when drinking it. This shone through from the time we walked through the door to when we left and Kobus personally packed our purchases in the car - the personal experience was fantastic. Lizaan from their laboratory, took us through the most interesting and interactive tasting experience and entertained us with anecdotes of the farm which we loved. The Deetlefs Familie White is my absolute favourite and Kobus was kind enough to share a bottle with us while we learnt more. We will definitely be back! Thank you...

Dear Kobus, Willem and rest of the Deetlefs team. WOW! WOW! WOW! What a special experience, handled with such personal care that we felt as though we were best friends of the Estate, even though it was a first time experience for most of us! Starting with lovely Sauvignon blanc on the stoep with Kobus, on to Willem's very special and informative tasting, and ending with a lovely "burger" lunch in the garden! We had such a divine and special day - the personal care taken was especially appreciated! And the beautiful wines were an added bonus!
