I released a Cape Golden Mole here after our cat caught him in our garden. It was the most appropriate environment I could find nearby. Please don't kill these small, cute little mammals. They are endangered and are harmless, well-meaning little creatures. They eat insects and invertebrates and, as with any animal, deserve to be treated with respect. They are also important to our local ecosystem. They are burrowers and don't do much damage to...

We climbed the Blue Gum tree which was fun. The reserve boasts with an abundance off Southern red bishop birds. Relaxing to sit at the water bench. Other birds spotted was Red-knobbed coots and their chicks, Cape weavers and Cape sparrows.
