This wine farm is a hidden gem! Have heard of them but never thought of going to them until we found them on our route today, not even planned at all! Stunning views from the restaurant where you can have a great meal and do the wine tasting. They also have a gin tasting and pairing that can be done on the wine farm, endorsed by Classic Cats. The food was very yummy. The service was good. The wines are ok, with their flagship red blend and sauvignon blanc being the best of all.

Capaia is an absolute hidden Gem and worth any detour. It is a great and carefully taken of vineyard, nestled in the hills northwest of Cape Town. They have a nice garden, beautiful terrace with great views and a cosy setting with a fireplace inside. Their wines are surprisingly good, try their ONE, it’s really nice. The food is tasty and well presented. The road to get up there is long and in soso condition, but again, it is worth it.

Great venue with fantastic views and excellent service. The food is great, enjoyed the Sticky Duck main course tremendously, and pairs exceptionally well with the Capaia Rosé 2019. The Sauvignon Blanc is a great wine and is a fantastic partner to the calamari starter. Well worth a visit and we will certainly be back to try the other tasty looking dishes on the menu.

We were at Mariella's restaurant and had a wonderful evening... it wasn't very busy and so we had the full attention of our waitress... She was very friendly and knew what she was talking about... Following her recommendations we shared the tasting board, followed by the chicken and the Linefish... Perfectly prepared and beautifully arranged everything was very tasty and melting in your mouth... The Capaia rose' was the right match for the meal... Grand Finale was the Chocolate Fondant - baked outside soft inside....accompanied by coffee and grappa... All in all a very pleasant evening for us, we had plenty to talk after a long week... And that we could do in peace... Thank you for a...

Since the first time eating at Mariellas it seems that the quality of the food is not of the same high standard. The beautiful puree(s) have turned into pieces of veg which I can make at home, thank you. All the food are served in big soup bowls which do not necessarily fit the food. A bit disappointing. I say this with a ching heart, as I love the place so much. Went there today for my birthday. Ordered the Tomahawk steak at a mere R425. Asked for a rare steak as you should. It was cold, tough and medium done. At that price I felt obligated to send it back. Come on guys. Just do your best and up...

I'm properly impressed! James was more than willing to take some time out of his busy schedule to sit and discuss the outlines of my wifes birthday. Pulled in the head chef to confirm a few things for the day as well!

We didn't hold them up for to long but it was a good sign of things to come... we proceeded to have devour their amazing platter and a bottle of wine.

One of the many things that amazed me was the lack of noise pollution, both from patrons and traffic.

Well priced on top of it all as well!

Well worth the visit, we will be back many times...
