What a beautiful rose garden this is. It is situated in the beautiful and upmarket. Durbanville. The first time I drove past it was 22 years ago, when I had to go to a doctor in Durbanville.

OFCOURSE I had to return when I had more time. From the road, the rose garden looks so beautiful and alluring with all its different types of colourful flowers.

There is no way that you would not pull over to have a look. The garden is so peaceful and tranquil and it’s so lovely to just find yourself a comfortable spot and just sit and admire the beauty of the garden.

Some people comes to have wedding photos taken here and some families just bring their kids to play on the “klimme-raam “ and have a relaxing afternoon.

The last time my husband and I was at the rose garden we found our usual bench and a couple were lying a few metres away from us, on a blanket.

We tarted to hear their voices rising but thought they were having a bit of a debate. Later we heard some swearing and before long they were openly screaming at each other 😁

We felt so awkward that we got up and walked away before they started attacking each other. So yes the rose garden is even a good place to have...

By entering a place you get a different perspective, you are putting your senses to work especially if it is in the nature set up. Hearing about what others have to say and going to experience it yourself, looking at pictures does not do this garden justice. Look at it when arriving at this place, look at the white painted building. It's like a portal you walk through when getting at the exit on te other side. It's plain but this building is the gate way to a magnificent rose garden, my first and breath taking. I could not believe what I was seeing with my eyes, it is a place that is hidden away and needs to be explored by nature lovers. The smell of flowers are overwhelming so bring your pump and allergy medication just incase, be prepared. There is some bees as well buzzing around because they are doing there job in the cycle of life, working the roses, so be aware. This is quite a big area so know that you will be walking abit, don't be fooled by the look from the outside. It is hiding away the fact that there is an experience waiting on you and I am not a rose fan, so it is big for me...

I’ve driven past this place more times than I can count, whether on my way to work or en route to another destination. Despite its familiarity, it took me some time to truly explore its charm. I’ve visited more than once, each time honing my photography skills. The location offers plenty of creative inspiration: colorful flowers, a serene fountain, a charming wooden bridge, and even an elegant archway, to name a few features. It’s a playground for practicing techniques like leading lines or experimenting with different compositions. Do keep in mind the changing seasons, as they influence the blooms and overall ambiance. Additionally, the venue is sometimes reserved for events, so it’s worth checking in advance before...

What a wonderful rose park to explore and relax, hidden in Durbanville. It's not too difficult to find and there's a helpful guide at the entrance to help you understand the different types of roses. The garden is well-maintained and it's a lovely spot for people to take wedding pictures (please don't photo-bomb them). Neat and clean toilets are available on site and there's parking inside if you prefer. It does get very hot here in summer and a couple of extra shaded benches would be great.

I visited the Rose Garden today and I really liked the garden. The flowers are very beautiful and the grass is very green and perfect. It’s a perfect place for a nice and quiet picnic. There’s plenty of shade from trees and also benches to sit on. One thing however is that it seems like it is not being maintained very well because some roses are dead dry and there’s a lot of weeds growing as well. Other than that, I had a great time here with my girlfriend
