WHAT a hidden gem!! Capetonions, this is what I would call value for money. We loved the peace and quiet. Paradise! And the views are beyond stunning!! No loud music or drunks (no alcohol allowed) Braai areas spaced apart and kept clean. There were a few pieces of glass that should be cleaned up. A perfect spot on a perfect day. The steps down and up might be a problem for some but it is SO worth visiting this spot!!! Makes you feel one with nature. Wonderful place! At only R40 pp for the day. Bargain! Go early to get a good parking spot!! The venue opens at 9 and closes at 5pm! Our best kept 'secret' so far!!

Stunning scenery. Braai & Picnic spots available. You must go early to pick out the best places if not a gazebo is a must. Huge bolders create a lovely lagoon type area for kids to play or poke around for shells & kelp. A bit of a walk from the main road, stairs too. They have a private function area for hire, not close the the water but higher up for picturesque views. Small kiosk available. No bottles/alcohol allowed.

Oudekraal beach is an awesome spot to get away from the typically crowded beaches in Cape Town. This comes with a catch, there is a small admission fee (about R50) to pay at the entrance. The area has great facilities, and is perfectly suited for you and some friends to go have a "braai" nearby to the ocean's edge. Please keep this special place trash free! Don't spoilt it for others!

Great braai spot, pillars put in place, just need wire grill or mesh, wood, charcoal and meat and you good to go. Right next to a beach. Has no overcrowding, perfect spot especially for family outings. To get cosy you can bring your camp chairs, towels, small gazebo, cos it gets hot. Although if you get there early you can get pick are nice spot where there's shade. Parking is available but limited. No wheelchair accomodation, long, very long stair cases. This place is hidden in a mountaneous place along the Victoria Main road heading towards houtbay as you drive you might miss, but there is a board although not written in very huge characters that points to the place. For entry you have to pay for, a small fee which changes dependent with season, kids also pay, price is dependant different age groups. To confirm on that you can get in contact with Sanparks. The spot is also hireable for events, wherether corporate or weddings. The perfect spot to have a beach wedding really beautiful place. And has a alot of nice spots to take great pictures, if you wanna look like you at some Caribbean beach island its has the perfect rock shaoes, water colour, beach sand to...

This is definitely one of Cape Town's most beautiful hidden gems. I would even go as far as saying it's better than the much more popular Camps Bay. There are no fancy restaurants, so foodies, you better pack your own picnic or barbecue. There are countless braai areas tucked away in little pockets of greenery all connected with neat little pathways. Giant boulders of massive proportions are naturally laid in elaborate displays with little caves nestled throughout their structure. There are plenty of picnic areas and even though the actual water in the beach itself is as cold as ice, you'll find plenty of things to explore. There are even underwater caves! This beach is part of Table Mountain's National Reserve so you will be expected to cough up between R70 - R80 for an entrance fee - but trust me, it's worth...

If i could give it Zero stars i would. This park says strictly no alcohol, and EVERYONE was drinking alcohol openly. Not behaving! You can NOT let your kids wonder around the park as its dangerous people that consumed way to much alcohol, There is no-one checking bags , or security guards checking that everyone is behaving or adhering to rules. There is broken glass everywhere you look and walk, even in the shallow waters, Kids are not safe here. Glass bottles laying everywhere, its actually disgusting. I will not go back there, and strongly advise everyone to choose a different venue. I wanted to go as far as asking for a refund cause i paid to get into a dumpster. But the pictures online made me believe it was nice and clean,. There isn't even grass, its dry sand now, not well maintained....
