Blue Roock is really, really mid. If you're going there, then you should be fully prepared to cough up a lot of money. On the website, they claim that they only accept cash at the gate. The entry fee is R110/Adult and R80/child, which is stupendous given how much more you will need to spend to enjoy yourself. R110 was not worth the amount to jump off a cliff and swim for a few hours. There are other activities such as wake/knee boarding, skiing, canoeing, and ziplining, but the only activity we saw people do was the wake boarding. The pricing at the restaurant is ridiculous no matter the type of food you buy. You aren't allowed in with any food or drinks because they have a "Restaurant." They have braaing facilities but they not available to use in this season. They will be available when they stock braai packs that they will sell to you so you can buy braai in the grounds. The most irresponsible sight I saw that topped everything off is that at this "resort," they sell liqour... If you do a deep dive looking for other reviews, then you will come across another review where someone drowned here (probably while intoxiced), and they didn't even bother to turn the music off as courtesy. I watched them sell a full bottle of klipdift to a group of guys. If you do the math, alcohol sales and water activities are about as relational as dividing by zero. Their parking grounds clearly aren't well looked after. There is no shade to park your car unless you park by the one tree in the parking area. The bathrooms have multiple hornets nests, and I'm talking MULTIPLE. I promise you that if you get attacked by hornet , they will say that they are not liable. It really was not worth the expense, and by the end, we were contemplating whether a refund would be possible. I wouldn't recommend coming here, finding yourself another place that you will enjoy with your family, and won't cost you a fortune. Monkey Town is 1000% better despite being 1/4 of the size. Muizenberg slides by the beach are more entertaining than Blue Rock. The best I can say is that it looks nice when you're driving in.

A beautiful place scenic wise. Lots of entertainment. Entry cost nominal. BUT...the conditions to entry with a focus here on what consumables are allowed. No beverages, no food, not even your own water. Forcing one to purchase your meals from a restaurant whose staff are unhelpful and whose food quality is questionable. The cost of the low quality of food is atrocious. Breakfast: A (thin) sandwich of egg ( singular) and bacon( thin slice) a few (8) chiplets with no sauce rendering the paper-thin sandwich unpalatable at a cost of R70. A slice of cheese as an extra item is a further R28. A 300ml of soda is R24 and 500ml water is R22. Not looking forward to what the lunchtime menu has to offer as we paid for the day. So, although this is a beautiful place to relax in a natural setting, unless you have won the lotto 🤭 or have an open ended budget.........think twice.

Overrated. Staff are not very friendly. Everything is overpriced. Things to take note of: You cannot enter with your own soft drinks, you cannot take your own umbrella/Gazebo, and you basically have to pay for shade. Once inside all activities have to be paid for separately and can only be used for a certain amount of time. Ripoff to say the least. I wanted to see what this place was all about but I will definitely not return.

Blue Rock Cable Waterski, Restaurant, Paintball, Zipline, now the wildest place in Africa since Ratanga Junction will no longer be, it has a fantastic staff crew and great happy vibes all round. It's rare to experience such a jovial team of friendly, caring and awesome people all at once, they were hands-on and willing to assist from the time we booked our team building to the time the day arrived to attend an exclusive visit. We were a group of 7 team members from the Wealth Department @ Sable International and we booked it for the 20th April 2018 for an entire day. The day started off with a scrumptious English Breakfast and Cappuccino’s, followed by introductory training on water activities in their 60-metre reservoir like knee boarding, water skiing and weight boarding, we chose knee boarding and launched right into it. This activity is safe and secure and well precautioned from all avenues, they even have a boat to pick you up and return you to the jetty. This was loads of fun, but also scary at the beginning because it was a first time for some of us but we all enjoyed it 100%, the conductor is very motivating and comforting ensuring that you are calm when you launch into the water. After this session we relaxed around the beautiful venue and enjoyed the sun and lunch was then served which was their delicious variety of Pizza’s namely their Blue Rock speciality, Margarita and Vegetarian. They have managed to accommodate our every need and request including being able to cater for a Halaal friendly teammate. After lunch we then moved onto the next activity which was the Fufi Sliding also known as Zip lining, being pushed off a 400-metre cliff in a harness strapped to a cable with a helmet on has never been that fun and exciting. What makes it different is that your feet gets dipped in the reservoir’s water after the adrenaline rush, which is super cool. They have great customer service, the venue is neat, tidy and hygienic. Also, the food was fantastic and the equipment is in excellent condition. Definitely, a must visit when in Cape Town, it’s a goldmine for sure. They cater to your every need, they even do year-end functions too, no matter the size of your group, I’m sure they would be able to entertain you. Our team had a magnificent team building thanks to Blue Rock and their phenomenal staff, the activities, the food and their amazing...

On Friday the 13th of December 2019, our organisation went to Blue Rock Adventure Park for our end of year function. During our visit, a man from another organisation jumped into the quarry to help one of his colleagues who was distressed in the water. In his attempt to help, he hit his head and subsequently drowned. We watched as other guest at the Park tried to bring him back by performing CPR. Roughly ten minutes later, the National Sea Rescue Institute team and paramedics arrived. Unfortunately, they were not able to resuscitate him. We are deeply shocked and saddened by the loss of his life. We also want to express concern and disappointment over Blue Rock’s appalling reaction to this accident. Once people became aware of the accident, help was immediately requested. Blue Rock, a business who makes money from water sports, did not have a lifeguard or medic onsite, although they were fully booked. The slow reaction speed of the owners and their team, who was onsite, was horrific. Their first aid kit did not have appropriate gear to assist with CPR. After the paramedics declared time of death, business resumed as per usual. People were getting back on wakeboards while the man who passed on, was still lying next to the water waiting for the police to arrive. Even after we expressed our concern and shock about what was happening to the owners of the establishment, customers were allowed to continue with their activities and play. The Blue Rock staff was also expected to continue with their duties. We condemn this kind of behavior witnessed by the owners. From one business to another, you need to do better. We are also horrified to learn that this is not the first drowning at Blue Rock this year. We will share our eyewitness observations with authorities who are investigating the incident and I recommend others who observed events to...
