If you are ever out this way this is an experience not to miss. To experience our history and to see a bit of our history captured and preserved.

Das sollten sich alle anschauen. Es gibt auch eine Führung zu einer der früheren Unterkünfte. Sehr nette Museumsangestellte

The Lwandle Migrant Labour Museum is a thought-provoking destination that offers a glimpse into South Africa's tumultuous past. Located in Cape Town, the museum is a memorial to the migrant labour system, which forced thousands of workers into cramped and unsanitary living conditions .

As you walk through the museum, you'll get to explore an original historic hostel that has been restored to its former state. The exhibits showcase the trials and tribulations faced by migrant workers, as well as their triumphs and resilience .

Visitors have praised the museum for providing a powerful and emotional experience. One reviewer noted that the museum offers "the best insight into the past and the present" and highlights the ongoing initiatives to improve the lives of the Lwandle community .

Overall, the Lwandle Migrant Labour Museum is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in history, social justice, and human rights. With its poignant exhibits and restored historic hostel, the museum provides a unique and unforgettable...
