We were here for our second visit early December. This time we stayed in chalet no.4, Piet-my-vrou. The old stone structure is solid and has very authentic rustic feel. Some items do need maintenance attention. But for the price you know you're coming for a basic stay, no TV or air-conditioning here. The Nature is what we came to enjoy! Great trails with beautiful cliffs, caves and views are spectacular! On our first visit we stayed in a tent in one of the camp sites and bird life in the forest like setting is amazing. Then they didn't have the Free Wifi they have now. Although the coverage is limited to the Office area. You'll still not get any Cell coverage though. But it's good to get away from all the busyness...

I spend the long weekend (3 days) with my two boys there camping in tents. This is definitely the place to go to for adventure and exploring nature and just doing boys stuff. Got them off the tablets the whole time there. Just so many things to do. Everything works great and with load shedding the staff had lights in the bathroom. The parth ways are very nice sometimes little scary for the kids with climbing the ladder up the cliff but they manage with some encouragement to do it. They had so much fun with exploring the water tunnels and we spend hours there. Thanks the to everyone there for making it a great weekend. This is a must for family to spend quality time with the each...

Although the beds etc was clean, with a fireplace inside against the cold. The following. It was the latest "newest" house we had. If that house was cleaned that day I really don't know! Plenty of dust and stuff under the bed, ceilings away from wall, anything can come through. Bat miss on the shower floor. Bath really didn't look well. Had to buy own wood for fireplace. The braai area wasn't even clean outside. Otherwise the sight was wonderful. The road to there was not in good condition! Can't remember number but was the house next to 12. Think it was number 7? Numbers different their. So for except the view and very friendly gate security..... don't know if I will go...

This was a pleasant over-night after our Katze dam adventure. Situated just outside Fouriesburg, we found this a real nature camp in a very deep kloof. Everything is well maintained and the free auto washing machine was a bonus. We ventured on some of the many walking trails, and found only one accessable for our old knees, but it was very pleasant, with lots of ferns. The ravine running next to the camp, is very deep. I cannot imagine what volume of water can fill it. This is a super summer camp, with a large swimming pool and lots of shade. Full marks for the nature surroundings, specially the sun set & rise on the familiar yellow mountains of the Eastern Freestate.
