I just want to say thank you to the Jankelowitz family for a great afternoon at Bacco. We were received by Carla and seated on the terrace. It was our first wedding anniversary and decided to visit Bacco on the day for a wine tasting with canapé's. It turned into a three course meal which Mr Jankelowitz taking time to speak to all the people around. Carla was very good at spotting what we were in the mood for from the beginning to end as we ended off with "the best dessert I have ever tasted".... BACCO Smoked Brie Basque(cheescake). I would like to take this opportunity to thank the friendly staff and the Jankelowitz family for a memorable 1st Anniversary.... Hopefully we are blessed with joining you guys soonest again!!!!!!

Just To ADD - We had a return visit and my Gosh it was another awesome experience. Love the idea of a monthly menu change!!! Thank you very much for such good memories we are allowed to create with BACCO. And to Carla thank you for taking time out of your busy day to say "HI" to myself and my wife when she spotted us coming in!!! Thank you for the great food and CHEESECAKE!!!!!!

Bacco the return. 17 November we went for our anniversary again to visit Carla and the team and yet again you guys amazed us with fine wine and dining! Thank you for a very pleasant day! Love you guys!!!!

On the 1st of May 2025 we made our fifth visit to Bacco. Everytime we visit it feels like visiting family. Me and my wife always feels so welcomed when we visit for a bite to eat and a bit of fine wine. The food again was so amazing, thank you to Carla and her team. Another thank you to Mr Jankelowitz to take the time to come say hello to us. Fabulous fabulous...

Where to start? We had the best time at Bacco today! We booked for a wine tasting and ended up staying for a few more hours for lunch and the best dessert ever. Carla, the Smoked Brie Basque is next level delicious. I could eat just that! We loved how Carla (owner/chef/manager) took the time to take guests through the menu options, make perfect recommendations and then kept popping back to check that we were all enjoying ourselves. I've not seen such hands-on management in long time. She's a breath of fresh air!

Our sommelier, Lee-Roy was amazing. He was warm and friendly and had so much knowledge about the estate and its wines, answering even the most technical questions with confidence and ease. He recommended the perfect wines for each of our dishes and was very attentive throughout our visit. He has a great sense of humour and is a huge asset to the estate.

We had paired canapés with our wine tasting and they were all delicious. We followed our tasting with cheeses from their cheese trolley and then had the Charred Corn Risotto, Squid Fritto Misto and 30-Yolk Oxtail Raviolo. Everything was sublime! If you love good food, then this is the place to visit. We ended our meal with The Coffee Bean (tiramisu) and the Smoked Brie Basque (baked cheesecake). The cheesecake was the most surprising dish. Smokey, salty/sweet with delicious sweet-sour cherries. Divine!

I highly recommend that everyone visit Bacco, but book ahead and prepare to spend at least...

Had a lovely lunch friendly service and beaitiful architecture and paintings an seating. Place is not that new about 3 years old ..the service is friendly and attentive. Even if you purchase a glass of wine , the waitress will provide u with the background of the wine which was informative . We ordered the seared tuna on a rice cake ...the rice is Like the fried rice you get in sushi at the bottom with some slices of seared tuna on top . Price was 220 . The flavors were delicate and flavorsome. The brioche bun they give you before the meal is delicious, wish we could buy them to take away ...would be a lovely add on for the growing business. I was not too fond of the berry and white chocolate spread they give u to go with the brioche bun ..to sweet on sweet ...some olive or basil butter would be a better pairing with it...just a suggestion ...note the bread and spread are free . Dessert was the opera gateau...alittle too stodggy for me and all just soaked texture....some nuts or crisp in between the layers would be nice ..dessert 80 . Relaxing atmosphere to catch up woth friends . Note there is a gravel road leading to the entrance that might not be suitable for very low cars ...it is quite rickety the road. However this restaurant is on the framschoek tram route so you could...
