One of the most incredible hikes in an absolutely breathtaking location, ending in a spectacular waterfall.
The hike itself isn’t too difficult, but arrive early (before sunrise if possible) as you’re likely to be out for about 5 hours if you spend some time at the waterfall.
Be wary of your surroundings as snakes (particularly Cape Cobra) are prevalent in the area, and a sighting is not uncommon - make sure you watch where you are walking as they may slither right in front of your path.
It is supposed to be a monitored hiking path (no more than a certain number of people per day, and you are required to book) but it seems as if this isn’t always the case as there are often more than the maximum number of people...

The view at the last waterfall is stunning. It is definitely worth the climb.
Please note there are leeches. 2 people in our group found leeches on them, as they were climbing up the steep slope towards the last waterfall.
Overall, the hike was fun...

The pool at the weir is littered with broken glass, bottle tops and cans and bottles. Not to mention the trash left behind on the sides and under the bushes. Who is responsible for cleaning this up and policing offenders? We cleared up over 20 bags of refuse but this was just a drop in the ocean. We are systematically destroying our flora fauna and ecosystem. Not to mention the huge fire risk. Please help stop this destruction and take your trash...
