Absolutely Pathetic been waiting now for 20 minutes for a wine tasting for 2 people and they just say sorry they are short staffed.
For such a big we'll known wine company to be short staffed is Absolutely Pathetic then on top of that you have the construction going on making a big noise.
DON'T COME TO.....RHEBOKSKLOOF WINE ESTATE..... RATHER SUPPORT OTHER COMPANIES THAT WANTS TO DO BUSINESS AND ISN'T SHORT STAFFED WILL NOT RECOMMEND.....RHEBOKSKLOOF.....TO ANY LOCAL OR INTERNATIONAL GUEST....
This issue was NOT Attended to and there was NO misunderstanding!!!! We we're just told sorry we are short staffed and there was only one gentleman that was on duty working.
AS A SAFARI GUIDE I WILL NOT BE BACK AND WILL ALSO NOT SUGGEST ANYONE ELSE TO GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT FOR A WINE TASTING MAY IT BE SOUTH AFRICAN GUESTS OR OVERSEAS GUESTS.
AND TO BE TOLD BY THE STAFF WE ARE SHORT STAFFED DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE NEW OWNERS ONLY TOOK OVER 2 MONTHS AGO IS NO EXCUSE.
LEARN SOMETHING FROM THIS SITUATION GET STAFF TO WORK EVEN IF THERE IS ALMOST NOTHING GOING ON LET THEM CLEAN OR DO WHATEVER BUT HAVE THEM AT THE READY FOR WHEN GUESTS ARRIVE.
ALL THE OTHER WINE TASTING WE WENT TO IN THE AREA WE DIDN'T HAVE ANY ISSUES PLENTY OF STAFF WORKING AND WE WERE ASSISTED IMMEDIATELY AND WE ARE EXTREMELY GRATEFUL FOR THE SERVICE WE RECEIVED FROM ORHER WELL KNOWN WINE PRODUCERS IN THE AREA.
BUT IN MY LIFE I'LL NEVER BRING ANY GUEST BACK TO...

While the scenery is beautiful the experience in both the restaurant and cellar did not impress.
The restaurant : The menu is limiting, and in my opinion over priced. We ordered the zucchini fritters, and a pizza. The zucchini fritters are a total waste of money. The measly potion of Zucchini, was disproportionate to the amount of tomato sauce sauce on the plate. By far the worse part of the restaurant experience was the apathetic nature of the staff.
Wine tasting experience : Overall an above average experience, with a very knowledgeable sommelier. However the red wine was so warm one could only smell the evaporating alcohol. I asked the sommelier about this, who’s response was that it was hot outside and when they are busy the wine cooler can’t be used effectively. This should not be an excuse for a wine farm.
Overall, I was disappointed by my experience at...
Read moreWine tasting: Beautiful setting with the pond. Wine was great. We ordered a platter to share to pair with our wine tasting. Service was ... very interesting. We selected our wine options, everything went well until wine #4 when the waiter apologized to one of our female guests as she poured too much wine for one of the other guests so she would miss out this round and get a little bit more on the next round (we thought it was a joke, it wasn’t). Round #5 the waiter started pouring our last selection and apologized again as this bottle only has enough wine for about 2 of the 6 guests. She was unwilling to open a new bottle and came to pour in another half empty bottle of wine as if we wouldn’t taste or smell the difference. I mean, have you ever been for a wine tasting and not be able to taste the wine as the bottle was finished?! What sort of a wine tasting is this? Really don’t appreciate the untruthfulness. Ended up not buying any wines just as a result of the...
