Welvanpas Hiking Trail — Attraction in Drakenstein Local Municipality

Beautiful hike with a lot of variety. From vineyards to deep dank forests, moss covered boulders, Pine Forest, meandering streams, lots of flowers. Literally 10 000s of mushrooms with a large number of different colors. The owner also gave me a map, which is the clearest and easiest to understand of any trail I've been on. There are written notes explaining where to turn, where to take a shortcut back, etc. This hike has a real wilderness feel to it with absolute silence and serenity in certain parts. The flora is also abundant and healthy contributing to a jungle atmosphere. There were signs of various animals, tracks, droppings and porcupine quills. I would love to hike again...

What a lovely place and such friendly hosts. The hike was perfect and not difficult except for the washed away path we took along the river.
