Neglected entrance/ reception area but the trails were enjoyable. Entrance is Free and gates are open from 7:30am to 5pm daily. There are maps available free at reception however the maps are very outdated and not entirely readable. In the past there was a lovely bird aviary which is now just a broken mess. Facilities were clean with clean bathrooms and many picnic spots with braai facilities. Trails were mostly neat and signposted with the exception of a few spots that may have been effected from recent floods. The loop trail is roughly 1600m that takes you through grasslands and small Forrest’s. While walking we were visited by a Grey Duiker which was exceptionally friendly and filled alongside us for 5min.

Was expecting to see a neat and well kept reserve, best part about the day out was the newly placed Road. Definitely would not recommend going if you plan on seeing any animals as we did not even see a bird. Disappointing to see how bad its become.

No birds at the moment due to a refurb which was a bit disappointing - but it's still a lovely place to visit and be in nature. Pics are from the snake collection inside.
