This was my first experience of the gorge, had the most amazing time. We took the molweni trail, it’s scenic and has gorgeous views. The waterfalls are an amazing sight and experience, felt connected to nature! It’s not the easiest trail but it’s worth it!

We did the Forest Trail to the Nkonka Crack from the Nkutu Picnic site. The trail was properly marked. The sites were amazing as always. Many people on the trail so it was safe. The staff at the Nkutu picnic site were helpful and friendly!! Wow, wow, wow!!! Definately a must to complete.

Superb & challenging hikes catering for varying levels of athleticism. Bring water but please don’t litter. Take in the beautiful waterfalls (yes plural) and lush cascading hill walls of kwaZulu-Natal.

Beautiful views.. But be careful of steep uphills and narrow walk ways along the cliff if a beginner hiker.

Krantzkloof Nature Reserve is a gem, located to the north-west of Durban city. There are different trail options, which are well marked and I was pleased I was able to manage a short hike as a solo female, with no hassle. The virgin beauty of this landscape is a wonderful reminder of the naturalness of KZN and Krantzkloof does a fantastic job of preserving this heritage.
