A very significant historic monument and with a striking design. Well worth a visit. It deserves to be better marketed and to receive proper attention. The place was in a great condition with my visit today. Lovely rural surroundings. It is also interesting to read the history and more should perhaps be provided on site. This spot marked the last conventional battle of the war and after the british broke through at this point the guarilla warfare stage started which also let to the concentration camp policy.    Read moreThe road that lead through the entrance pillars have been moved some time ago to a proper turnoff. The road is tarred all the way to the Monument. There are clear signs on the highway. Fir the turnoff. The place has aged but someone is taking care of it. Most likely the owners of the Berg en Dal farm so all in all it is in good nick if there is no budget assigned for upkeep and it is a labour of love/heritage.
