A sad and sorry state of a once great public park. The cricket clubhouse is completely gutted and abandoned and has a homeless person staying in amongst the dilapidated building - see my attached photo. The rugby club building is finished. The fields are overgrown and general mess. Trash is all over the place. Fences have fallen down and not been put back up. I didn't see the tennis courts. A great place to get drunk, do burnouts in your car and throw trash around and risk your life with the riff raff that is all over the place. Avoid.

What was once a thriving sports center has now fallen into a deplorable state though not all is ruined. This home to Pinetown Gymnastics which is very much active but in need to much needed upgrade. I’ve experienced hot summers just sitting and waiting for my young one to finish her 2 hour training session. The gym is well run with many aspiring young gymnasts emerging to go onto to compete on a national level. The swimming pool which was once home to Chad Le Clos is still very much in an active state. The unfortunate park about the park is the lack of interest by metro and has become home to taxi owners/drivers being used as a car wash, mechanical workshop and just as a hangout. There have been reports of theft, highjackings and the likes and of people just hanging around drinking and...

1 star unfortunately can't go less .It's not what it use to be when I was a young kid learning how to play sport and training use to be safe and clean well maintained .I crossed through the park to go to the shops no worries .

Now you cannot walk through the park alone during the day or night it's dangerous especially for woman .During lockdown they used the park for homeless people and since it's just looking terrible and roads around the park have terrible potholes .I would suggest Kloof ,Westville or...
