Westbrook Beach — Attraction in eThekwini Ward 58

Beautiful swimming beach, full of people, surfers, sun bathers, dog friendly, close to bathrooms and has really well pressured out door showers to rinse off the sand.

The sand is so soft, the waves beautiful, even though typical Durban style of rough waves so strong swimmers will be fine. But there was also a few life guards on duty.

Was an incredible showcase entrance to ballito.

The water was soo warm and seemed very clean for swimming.

Lots of parking available right next to the beach so short walks and still being able to see your car while you're swimming etc.

Blue flag beach with lifesavers always on hand. Situated between balitto and lamecy. Used by residents of westbrook, Seatides, lamecy n tongaat also holidaymakers. Has a small cafe for refreshments. A well looked after blue flag beach, when I posted this in 2018 it was a blue flag beach, however since then Ethekwini municipality has become so incompetent, that they cannot keep sewage from the seage pump stations out of the streams that flow into the sea near Westbrook Beach. The community tries hard to keep the beach Clean and Green, but the municipality are as to be expected...
