A must-do experience at Oribi... A friend gave me Andy’s number just as I was heading off for a quick visit to Lake Eland. I messaged him straight away to see if he could fit me in at short notice. Once I arrived at the camp, I found a handful of friends who were also keen, and we arranged to meet Andy the following morning. At the site, we were amazed to see several vultures circling above. They recognised Andy’s car — not as a food source, but as a familiar and trusted presence — and came to take a closer look at us. We spent a fascinating two hours at the cliff-face nesting site and left with a whole new appreciation for these magnificent birds. Their vital role in the ecosystem, often overlooked, was brought to life through Andy’s in-depth knowledge and clear passion. Andy’s love for the birds and his willingness to share their world with visitors made this an unforgettable experience. Definitely something I’d love to do again — and next time I’ll remember my camera! Tip: Start snapping as soon as you arrive, while the birds are still in the air. Depending on the weather and wind, this might be your best chance to get some spectacular aerial shots up close.

What an uplifting experience! So much so that my spirit is still up there soaring with the vultures. In the past I have only seen them at a stinky kill in a game reserve - squabbling, squawking and looking messy with innards. Thank you Andy (and the team) for sharing your knowlege and bringing home to us just how important it is to keep vultures out there in our skies. I'll definitley be back. Valda Fraser

What a great experience. Andy our guide was extremely knowledgeable about all things Cape Vulture. Loads of vultures flying due to the wind and the sun being out. Highly recommended.

Andy was brilliant. His passion for vultures is clearly visable in his knowledge that he shared with us. From being in the hide on the Saturday, watching these beautiful birds feasting on a horse carcass, to standing on the cliff on the Sunday, and having them soar around us, hearing the wind through their wings, and on the cliff face. We were in absolute awe of what we saw and learned. If I could give the experience 10 stars I really would. Thank...
