I did enjoy the hike but I wish I was supplied with the map beforehand and I didn’t know there is a beautiful cave so didn’t carry a torch. It’s a beautiful trail but in summer better go early coz it’s an open hike so the sun is scorching 🥵 hot. We ended up doing 10 km instead of 15 targeted because the other people I went with were feeling the heat

This is definitely my favorite place to hike around Pretoria. It is easily accessible by a normal car. Paths are well kept and easy to follow, with many options that can be very short or very long hikes depending on what you prefer. Amazing indigenous plant life and a few animals as well.

Such an amazing place. There are strict rules, do not just rock up. Call ahead for bookings prices etc. The staff is very helpful. The trails are well marked. You wont regret it! But take your own supplies and wear proper shoes!
