Really beautiful spot well worth the approximately 300 metre walk (that's about 984 ft in American).
We took along a 2 and 4 year old and they managed the "hike".
The water here makes up the drinking water for Oudtshoorn and so swimming and littering is not allowed (nobody wants to taste your toes or trash in their tap water).
When you get to the end of the walk (complete with metal bridges and stairs).
Pro tip: Cargo pants. My phone took a plunge that could have spelled its doom had my luck been on a low point today. Scrambling over the rocks for some instant grammable photos can cause you to lose all sorts of things.
Price per car with 6 or fewer passengers as at the 23 Dec 2023 was R120. I didn't pay attention to the other prices but they go up with more humans in the vehicle.

Read moreWhat an awesome find , so glad i took the turn off to go and look at the waterfall. The road becomes gravel but is in a relatively good state as my car has low profiles on my Mercedes C250 i could easily make the trip. This is just one of those must visit sites if you are in any way a nature lover and or love waterfalls like me you must take a drive here it is like a secret hideaway , a place they could have added to the Tomb Raider movie for sure no joke ! Just amazingly beautiful , the steps in the rocks , the multiple narrow footbridges you cross over . just do yourself a favour and go . The entry fee at time of this post for a vehicle is R70 just under US $5. Take the drive you can thank...
Read moreWOW WOW, what a stunning Waterfall, in the massive Swartberg Mountains. Was in Oudtshoorn dozen of times and were not aware of this awsome Waterfall. It is on the same route to Cango Caves. Approximately 7 km before the Caves you turn right into an eleven km of Gravel road, which can be driven by any type of car. You pay R70 entrance fee per car. Then it is approximately 800 meters steps up and down - not to difficult even for older people. The view along the way and at the Waterfall is breathing beautiful. If a nice day, take a picnic basket and coffee with you. This must be on top of your must do things, when visiting...
