It's a dam wall.
It was fun walking to the end of the dam wall, and looking at the water rushing over.
The dam wall is about 750 metres long, so it's a nice walk.
Be carefull though, a lot of people walk their dogs there, and don't pick up the doggy poo. So be sure to mind your step so that you don't get a nasty surprise.
We saw a lot of birds, so if you're a birder, this is a nice place to tick of a few from your life list.

There is apparently a new subdivision going in that has roads but no houses yet, and the original (?) road in does not exist any longer where depicted in Google.
