Umtentweni beach is the perfect spot for anyone looking to enjoy a day by the sea. The beach itself is simply beautiful, with crystal clear waters and golden sands that stretch for miles. What's more, there is a fantastic kiosk on site, which serves delicious snacks and refreshments to keep you fueled up for your beach adventure. Parents will be pleased to know that there is also a designated play area for children, complete with swings and slides, ensuring that youngsters are kept entertained throughout the day. What's more, the Tidytowns team do an excellent job of keeping the beach spotless, meaning that visitors can relax and enjoy the pristine surroundings without any worry. One of the highlights of Umtentweni beach is the abundance of rocks, making it a brilliant place for budding explorers to discover the local marine life. Sport fishing enthusiasts will also be in their element, with plenty of fish to be caught in the sparkling waters. Overall, the local community is incredibly welcoming, making Umtentweni beach a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to the area. Whether you're in search of a relaxing day by the sea or an adventurous exploration of the coastline, Umtentweni beach really does tick all the boxes.

A great beach to relax with the family, the beach is neat and tidy offers a number of facilities for the family like a small shop where you can grab everything from food to beverages and ice cream or fishing nets and toys for the kids. There's lots of communal benches and braais and even kids jungle gyms and a lovely rock pool. It's a great beach for fishing and offers a variety of sea life like coral, sea urchins, crabs, muscles, crayfish and all kinds of fish. For those who enjoy admiring the exquisite scenery this is certainly a great beach to visit as you have Shad lane just up from the main beach were you can collect all kinds of great shells and precious stones and for those who enjoy catching a wave this is a great beach to swim or surf.

I stayed around the area for 2 years and I can say the beach is secured, clean and braai facilities. It's good for family and friends, I like the black rocks at the beach, kids cab love looking at the small fish.

A very nice beach , a great tranquil swimming bay between the rocks , as well as a designated swimming area with competent life guards , the toilets are also very clean.Nice fishing spots on the rocks where good catches is recorded from time to time.long golden stretches of beach to jog , strole , walk your dog beach angling , surf boarding etch. On the top area there is a good tarred parking , lawn terraces with ample build in braais as well as a kiosk for refreshments . In general a very pleasant beach to visit , frequency visited by locals as well as holiday makers. A pity about all the the angler' s who blatantly disregard the common sense rule off only leave your foot prints , with no regards to their negative impact on nature leaving plasticbags , long strings off fishing line, glass bottles and in general leaving the fishing spots in a disgusting state. The same can be said off some people using the braai facilities , and beach in general. Some serious law intervention is required to remedy...

The beach is lovely, there is a small tidal pool for kiddies. There are a lot of fish to see if you snorkel in the rocky area, which is great at low tide. There are generally lifeguards on duty from 7am to 5pm. The beach kiosk serves warm fresh chips and a few snacks and cold drinks. There are taps and showers where you can rinse off before going home, but unfortunately the handles and taps themselves are often stolen or broken. The bathrooms are generally clean but, because they are so close to the bushy area, I would not let children or women go by themselves, recently people have been attacked on the beaches and there are signs of vagrants living in the bushes close to the restrooms. Look out for glass on the beach sand close to the stairs that lead down from the parking area.

Stay safe - don't walk alone, don't walk where you can't see other beach visitors, don't go before 7am or when it starts...
