Lotheni Nature Reserve — Attraction in Impendle Local Municipality

Lotheni... just heavenly. It's a special place. I will never grow tired of visiting here. Breathtaking views, deafening silence, and all-around awesomeness. It is, however, in need of some serious maintenance that the self-catering units have been neglected. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. If you are visiting for the first time, take note of the following; Power goes off from 10pm to 7am There's literally no cellphone signal Carry your own utensils You will need your own lighting for after 10 pm. Visited for the day and hiked the Emadundwini Trail which was well maintained. The trail map is a bit confusing. The nature reserve is secluded and peaceful. If you want to be away from all the buzz, this is the place to go. They have a a small tuck shop where you can buy sweets. Restrooms available for hikers. We saw baboons and elands...
