Calgro M3 Memorial Parks — Attraction in Johannesburg Ward 125

Fourways Memorial Garden. I own a six-grave plot at this cemetery. Purchased in 2001 (probably one of the first sold). I don’t live nearby but each time I go there it looks worse and worse even worse than most state cemeteries. I keep planting new plants and they keep dying due to no water. It is always dusty and dry. I pay a cemetery employee monthly to maintain the plot for me. When I complain I get told there is no water or the pump water does not reach that side. When I visit I have to carry heavy buckets of water from a tap that is barely working, to the grave site just to keep the little there is alive. Yet when you drive to the “new” side the grave sites are lush and green even in the warm dry seasons. My conclusion can only be that energy and resources get pushed into the new developments and sales of the cemetery. This graveyard is very clean we layed my mum the July from the reception the service is top notch the people who look after the Graves job well done. I'm not happy with the security guards though. At times you come at 16h00 then they say it's closed but on paper it say they close at 17h00. I asked the office they said they will fix it. And also when the security guards feel like you must sign today you sign and tomorrow they feel otherwise you don't sign the is no consistency in their job then I get worried...
