Mofolo Park, previously known to locals as the 5 Roses Bowl, has been revived. A great place for a picnic or a performances that require a stage, much better because it has a permanent stage. Our dj for the day placed their sets on the stage. But yhey required a gazebo to block the sun in the afternoon because the bowl faces the west of park & it's too sunny, although a plus for the spectators or public who'd be dancing & facing away from the sun in the open space. There are enough trees to enjoy their shades during summer. There's a fenced children's play area with swings & slides a few meters from the bowl. Read moreMofolo Park's well-kept grounds are obvious in the neatly cut grass I saw, suggesting that maintenance may be occasional. The park shines as a tranquil retreat when there aren’t any events.
I always bring my pet with me, so the park's dog-friendliness is a big advantage for me.
One of the drawback for the park is the children's play area, which is currently missing a few swings which is evident in the grounds the swings used to be. Hopefully, these will be replaced soon will complete the park's offerings and make it even more appealing for families.

Read moreI absolutely enjoyed my time there, not necessarily for the place itself but the people. The art that you will see there was done by us and the girls. That was an awesome experience. The dust thou wasn't sexy, some driver decided to spin and create even more dust - I hope he chokes on it one day. The space itself is lovely, just needs more maintenance cause it could be way better. It's child friendly but that slide is dangerous, they could have made it more safer for kids. That's just my 2cents....
