What an amazing experience!!! So well maintained and so much to see. The staff are very friendly. Entrance is free but they ask for donations. Worth a visit. Awesome for kids because they can climb on certain of the buses and trams.

We had no idea there was such a hidden gem in town! The staff are friendly, the museum is extremely well maintained and the exhibits are so well cared for! There is a vast number of vehicles (carts, bikes, cars, trains, tractors, fire engines, busses, caravans, trams etc... etc... ) It was just such a shame that it was so empty as they rely solely on donations from the public and volunteers. (There is no entrance fee, just a donations box). We took our 2 year old son there, who was fascinated, but he wanted to climb on everything (which is not allowed as the vehicles are very old and fragile) However there is a big bus at the end that the public can get on and he loved that! We'll definitely bring him back many more times as he grows older. There is an outside section with tables and chairs and a decent sized jungle gym for kids to let off steam.

Well worth putting on your...

I visited on Sunday 27th March and i will say the place is faultless.... Area around the museum is safe and way neater than I expected. To put it into clear perspective i visited in a cabriolet, top down and with my 11 year old son beside me.

The museum has ample parking, two security guards on duty and again I felt both safe and welcome.

Sharon at reception was incredible and so helpful in everyway. She asked Mandla a wonderful knowledgeable guide to show Jayden and myself around.

The facilities are nicely maintained and neat.... The array of vehicles on display is so awesome and really a must visit for Young to old.

Well done to all involved..... Get used to my face i am going to be a regular...

The museum has some very special cars and vehicles. But as being operated and maintained by a non-profit group this needs to be taken care well. It works on the donation basis. Except for one hall, most vehicles are kept in very dusty areas. Few vehicles are really precious and they need to be preserved well with extra care. Even to some cars, the chains and barricades causing damage (in one vintage car, the barricade is put in between body and bumper guard 😑) Felt enchanted with the collection from long back history but also felt sad about the condition. This museum needs to be publicised so more people will visit and charge some entry ticket, get funds and please please do maintain this precious...
