Beautifull wilderness, it's clean and spectacular.

Here is a view tips: Take note that there is a lot of watercrossings. High Clearance vehicle (4x4) is required. There is NO SHOP or FUEL available in the Kloof. (Fill up if you enter from Patensie side and in Willowmore if you come from the top. There are one or two local small farmstalls on the Willowmore side - long before you enter the Wilderness area. Please support local!! Cell phone signal is limited in the kloof. We did it with one vehicle, i will say it can be risky if you get a breakdown. (Except if it is a Toyota) 😄 Take it slow through the kloof (don't rush) Take cash with you for conservation fee payable at the entrance gate.

A spectacular hike in the Baviaanskloof, GoBaviaans is a must do for your bucket list. This community run slack-packing experience is surely one the most scenic in the country, if not the best run. The camp sites are superbly situated and has all the required amenities, including a kitchen tent with pots and pans, cutlery, a gas stove and more. The trail itself takes you from river bed to mountain top, be sure to be fit for this one, and is laid out in such a way as to surprise continuously with stunning rock cliffs, breathtaking views, differing terrain to hike through, and fauna aplenty. Look out for baboons and monkeys, plenty of leopard spoor, and Rheebuck. The Leopard Trail in the Baviaanskloof ranks as one of South Africa's top...
