The lingering contamination of our oceans is more than just heartbreaking.. a place I've known for many decades does not allow me close anymore .. still come out here to take strolls after work and breathe the air of the ocean... the sounds are still calming as they've always been .. lots of rituals being conducted on the shores of our Durban beaches.. if I may humbly ask that we all not add to the already fully polluted oceans by keeping our waste to ourselves.. as festivities come along please take care of kids and other family members when out and about. Enjoy Beach Lovers.

It's very disappointing. Beach isn't clean , and it needs a very big clean. The grass island is also dirty. There is so much potential at this Beach. Expect random to come up to asking for money for their shelter, generally just for money and cigarettes if they see you smoking. No fishermen in site, used to normal to see people fishing. Could smell a little bit of sewage from the sea, not as bad as before, thou.

Beautiful area to relax, picnic and also fishing. Has sufficient parking. I think more table and benches should be made available. But I honestly think the old set up was more desirable and favourable which was much more enjoyable as compared to now. The old set up was were you could drive along the Blue Lagoon Pier and could even park on the pier. Wow, those were memorable moments on the Old Blue Lagoon.

It's a spacious place to chill with friends and family. There is ample space for parking and sitting on the grass with access to water; one can swim in it if they wish (though it's not the cleanest water) or can canoe it, though there is a provider on site hiring out canoes. There is Coconut Grove restaurant where you can order bunny chow and other foods. It is quick access (a short walk) to the promenade with great views and relaxing atmosphere or opportunity to walk / jog...

The beach is always my most favorite place. We take a drive almost every weekend or at anytime we just need to enjoy the freedom of nature just being itself. It's the most amazing activity just looking far out into the ocean. With the recent kzn floods there are cleanup services taking place but it's still available for your regular walk or just stop and enjoy. If this is not one of your regular relaxing activities be sure to...
